[ARCHIVED] Appointment of Community Development Director

ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA – The City of Arroyo Grande is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Fitzroy as its new Community Development Director.   

Mr. Fitzroy recently served as Assistant Director of Planning and Building at the County of San Luis Obispo.  Mr. Fitzroy's experience includes General Plan and Ordinance Development, Water Supply Analysis, Air Quality and Noise Technical Modeling, Budget and Contract Management, California Environmental Quality Act, and Organization Administration and Management. 

Mr. Fitzroy holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management and Environmental Planning & Public Policy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science & Political Science, with a Minor in Economics, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

“We are thrilled that Mr. Fitzroy is bringing his education, experience, knowledge and a long and consistent track record of successes to the City team,” said City Manager, Whitney McDonald. 

Mr. Fitzroy will start with the City during the week of February 8, 2021, and will begin introducing himself to the community shortly thereafter.
