[ARCHIVED] Application Now Available for City's One-Time Small Business Assistance Grants

ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA – The application for the Arroyo Grande Small Business Assistance Grant is now available on the City’s website at www.arroyogrande.org/smallbusinessgrant. The application period ends November 6, 2020 and grants are expected to be awarded by the end of November. 

At their October 13, 2020 meeting, City Council unanimously authorized the use of $60,000 from CARES Act revenue received by the City to assist small businesses in the form of one-time microgrants of up to $5,000. 

In partnership with the South County Chambers of Commerce, the grants will be awarded to 10-15 Arroyo Grande small businesses to reimburse the costs of business interruption caused by required closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds are intended to be one-time financial assistance to help meet immediate funding needs including paying commercial rent, buying personal protective gear, and reimbursing other costs associated modifications required to make the business compliant with COVID-19 guidelines.
