[ARCHIVED] AGPD Make Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest

ARROYO GRANDE - On January 20, 2020, at approximately 10:52 PM, Arroyo Grande Police Department officers were dispatched to 425 S. Elm St. for a report of a victim that had been stabbed. The victim sustained life-threatening wounds as a result of being stabbed in the torso multiple times. The suspect fled immediately prior to police arrival.

AGPD officers quickly arrived on the scene and provided emergency medical care to the victim who was ultimately transported to a local hospital and survived his injuries.

AGPD Detectives have been continually investigating the case and identified 43-year-old Michael Angel Galindo as the primary suspect.

On July 8, 2020 Galindo was taken into custody by detectives for PC 245(a)(1) – Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Great Bodily Injury as well as a parole violation.
