[ARCHIVED] 2019 Street Repairs Project

ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA – On October 8, 2019, the City Council approved a contract with Ferravanti Grading & Paving for the 2019 Street Repairs project. Ferravanti Grading & Paving will be performing street repairs on certain streets within the City during the months of February and March 2020, as shown on the location map. These improvements are part of a systematic program for maintaining, repairing and improving the streets within the City.

The work on West Branch Street, from North Oak Park Boulevard to East Grand Avenue, and on Traffic Way, from West Branch Street to the Highway 101 On/Off Ramps, will consist of digout patches to repair potholes and localized failures. The work on East Cherry Avenue, west of Traffic Way, will consist of digout repairs followed by an overlay.

During construction there will be intermittent lane closures for safety purposes, but it is not anticipated that any roadway will be closed completely to vehicular traffic except during final paving operations on East Cherry Avenue. The Contractor will place informational barricades on the streets advising of specific dates and locations of parking restrictions. Please note that although the barricade may state certain hours, the actual construction work may occur at any time within that range. Normal work hours will be between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except for East Cherry Avenue which will be between 8:00 and 5:00 pm.

The street repairs may cause temporary inconvenience because of the nature of the work. The City appreciates your patience during this period and will attempt to minimize the inconvenience. Please contact the Public Works Department at (805) 473-5460 if you have any special needs or concerns that should be taken into consideration during construction. If you have specific questions about the project, please call Jill McPeek, Capital Improvement Project Manager at (805) 473-5444. The City will also have an inspector on site to address any concerns you may have.
