ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFOLRNIA - The City of Arroyo Grande recently began a three-year process to update the General Plan. The General Plan is the City’s long-term “blueprint” for future growth and development. The General Plan represents the community’s vision of its future and expresses the community development goals over the next 20-30 years. The General Plan guides land use decisions made by the City Council, Planning Commission, and City staff.
The City of Arroyo Grande invites all residents to participate in the first General Plan update community workshop on Thursday, October 5th starting at 6:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers at 215 E. Branch Street in Arroyo Grande. The focus of the workshop is to identify the opportunities and challenges that the City should address as part of the General Plan update. This is the first of many opportunities for residents to provide valuable input that will guide the General Plan update. Community input is essential in developing a Plan that is responsive to local needs.
The City encourages all those interested in helping to plan for Arroyo Grande’s future to attend the first community workshop and/or to participate in future community engagement events (accessible through the General Plan website at PlanArroyoGrande.com). Additional information about the workshop and the General Plan update is available on the project website at PlanArroyoGrande.com.
