[ARCHIVED] City of Arroyo Grande Appoints Interim City Manager

ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA – During their regular meeting on July 25, 2023, the Arroyo Grande City Council appointed the City’s Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director, Bill Robeson, as Interim City Manager.


The appointment is a result of City Manager Whitney McDonald’s acceptance of an offer of employment with the City of San Luis Obispo.


Mr. Robeson served as the City’s Public Works Director from 2017-2020 before he was appointed as Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director in September 2020. Mr. Robeson has over 29 years of public service, including 23 years at the County of San Luis Obispo where he served as Deputy Director of the Planning and Building Department. 


Mr. Robeson will assume the role of Interim City Manager on August 1st

 

The City is grateful for Ms. McDonalds’s commitment, leadership, and contributions to our community, as well as her impact on City staff and developing the City into an inclusive work culture. We wish her and her family the very best.
