[ARCHIVED] City of Arroyo Grande Updates Hours of Operation for Heritage Square Park Restrooms

The City has an important update regarding the hours of operation for the Heritage Square Park restrooms. Effective immediately, the City has made changes to ensure the safety and security of these facilities.

Starting today, the Heritage Square Park restrooms will be locked from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. the following morning. This measure has been put in place to maintain the functionality of these public restrooms due to repeated and significant destruction and vandalism.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause. City staff clean these restrooms daily and strive to provide clean and well-maintained facilities for all residents and visitors. The City’s intention is to curb the frequency and scope of damages that are both expensive, and time consuming to repair.

Please note that the restrooms at Ash Street will remain unchanged at this time. However, if the level of vandalism continues to escalate, implementation of similar closure measures will be enacted.

Please report any acts of vandalism or suspicious behavior near the restrooms or any public facility. Together, we can create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy.
