Will the Brisco Road on and off-ramps be reopened?

  • The Brisco Road on and off ramps were scheduled to reopen on December 11, 2016.
  • An additional six (6) month extension for the temporary closure was granted by Cal Trans noting no further extensions would be granted.
  • City Council recently determined to NOT extend the closure an additional 6 months as there was no opportunity to safely continue the temporary closure due to potential impacts at adjacent interchanges. Additionally, there is no opportunity to continue the temporary closure beyond the six months as identified by Caltrans. Finally, construction of the ultimate project is delayed until 2020-2021 due to funding availability.
